This is by far my most favorite steak house ever! When I live in the are I ate here weekly!
Lets just say as a kid who grew up in a house where beef was king and entered such contest it is really hard to impress me when it comes to cuts and cookin’. That said I have also taken my family here who, like me, are hard to impress and we all were.
From the porter house to the tri-tip I have never had any thing here that wasn’t cooked to perfection. If you want rare they do it no questions asked and they are one of the few steak houses that realize that medium rare means there should still be blood. Aside from cooking their meat perfectly the whiskey peppercorn sauce they have is so buttery and really goes well with the meat. If the meat and peppercorn sauce aren’t enough reason to come then the glazed carrots and soup and salad bar are. Everything in the salad bar is made in house so it really gives it that Sunday at Grandma’s feel. Plus the added bonus is that you don’t have to pay extra for the soup and salad bar when you order. So me thinks 20 bucks for a dinner that comes with soup and salad and steak cooked to perfection is a great deal!
As if the food wasn’t enough reason to come here the serving staff our friendly and on top of things. The only downside to the House of Beef is that many tourist stop through on there way back from Yosemite.
